Due to the birthday festivities and some well deserved time off this post is very belated. One may say a belated present to Jr (and yes the b-day continues on).
On Thursday, August 4 a belt match was held. Matty, Sr. & James were the first group out earlier in the day. We know Sr. had a respectful 39 and the other two posted a score a little higher (some blame the new swing coach). Jr. and DC had planned a later tee time and hoped to pair up with the early starters on the back (always good to know the goal you need to achieve before teeing off).
Jr. had invited his entourage for support and support they did. Not to name names (Curtis) a few supporting gimmes of five feet or more where provided for Jr. However, DC states he saw Jr. make two huge putts and must have been on his game. Guess we'll never know the real putting story.
Putts or no putts it still takes some skill to be able to post a 34. Many fairways and greens lead Jr. to even par and he collected the belt to start his celebration night. A celebration it was but will not be written about here - I believe another blog completely could be created to share one or two interesting thoughts on what it takes to celebrate with the Champ's alter ego (party-boy).
Hope you enjoyed your gift Jr., if not I know Matty is happy to accept returns.
