A quiet round and a few key putts helped DC post a very respectable score of 35. Would it be enough?
Matty, and Sr had respectable rounds as well, but a pair of 38s would not be enough to steal away the belt from their playing partner. However, Jr had an early tee time and was an unknown. What type of round did he produce?
The television scoreboard listed him as a low sandbagger and a Net Score of 32. This might have been enough to steal the belt back. However, as Sr has found out this is not the Net Belt and it all comes down to the total number of whacks (or gross score in golfing lingo). Jr gross was also a 35, and yes we had a tie.
With a tie the belt is retained by the current holder and DC keeps the belt for at least one more round.
Congratulations to Sr. for shaving another stroke off his handicap, and now is a Lucky 13.
6.5, really? Haha
